Présentation de l'éditeur
Henri Michaux used to say that we should "pay a tax on laces". I like this
quest for a face which I would recognise and which would recognise me.
Instinctively, through the differences, it's the similarities we seek. Denis Felix
is a traveller who takes photographs. One can read the history of men through
faces. They're books to be deciphered, biographies that only the attentive
can discern. Through the isolation of a one eyed look, the photographer
"captures souls". Later, in the dark room, the expressions thus trapped will
tell a story, fragments already remote and with an incredible presence.
Memory will hold on to that.Bernard Giraudeau
